Favoroute at ITB Berlin
Last week, Frederieke and Charlotte visited the largest travel conference in the world: ITB in Berlin. A place full of tourist boards, travel bloggers, travel companies, airlines, travel organisations and any company you can imagine in the travel industry.
On this conference Frederieke was invited to moderate a panel discussion about the topic: ‘Should bloggers be paid?’. Although we know the answer to this question (YES!) the topic is still quite controversial in the travel industry. The panel discussion was with two travel bloggers (Yvonne from JustTravelous and Melvin from TravelDudes) and two tourist boards (VisitBerlin and EmiliaRomagna). The hour lasting discussion ended with some (heated) questions from the audience. A great experience to be part of!
After this discussion, Frederieke gave a key-note speech at the Institute of Cultural Diplomacy and their Economic Forum. The forum, mainly intended for students, concerned innovation technologies and the changes innovations could make.
The other days of ITB were filled with appointments with travel organisations, speed dating sessions with bloggers and networking events at night. AND….we made our first partnership with a travel organization!
ITB has been really successful this year and we would love the be back! See you next year!
