1. Bali Eco Cycling, Ubud.
One of the best ways to explore the surrounding of Ubud is by bike. Cycle the beautiful rice paddies and surrounding nature. With the Bali Eco tour, you will bike from Lake Batur back to Ubud, to surpass fruit gardens and rice paddies.
2. Visit the Uluwatu Temple, Uluwatu.
The magical place to watch the ‘Kecak’ fire dance in the amfi theatre of the Uluwatu temple. At the end of the afternoon this show begins, so if you want to visit the temple you should go in before then.
3. Watch the sunrise from Ganung Batur.
Take a morning hike and be on the peak of Mount Batur the watch the incredible sunrise. Cook your breakfast (eggs and banana) in the steam of the volcano, and have the best start of your day you could wish for!
4. Visit the Salt extraction in Amed.
The village of Amed is originally a fishing village, and the beaches are used for salt extraction nowadays. In the restaurant of Hotel Uyah you can find more materials and explanations about the way they extract the salt.
5. Feed the monkeys in Monkey Forest, Ubud.
Walk through the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary in Ubud to feed and watch the macaque monkeys. The forest is built around a Hindu Temple Complex. Be careful for your backpack; they zip it right open if they know there’s food inside!
6. Go Scuba diving in Tulamben.
This spot lays just in front of a Second World War US-Liberty ship wrack, and is therefore one of the most famous spots for scuba diving on Bali.
7. Visit Water Palace of Tirta Gangga.
Visiting Bali without its beautiful cultures is definitely a no-go. The incredible Water Palace of Tirta Gangga is on a beautiful walking route through the rice paddies. Have a private guide guiding you around to experience this outstanding nature!

9. Watch the Sunset at La Plancha Beach Bar, Seminyak.
On the relaxing beach of Seminyak there are a few places to watch the sunset at its best. Grab a cocktail, have your diner, and enjoy the sun lowering down in the sea at this wonderful beach bar.
10. Relax on the Secluded Pandawa Beach, Nusa Dua.
There are not so many secluded beaches left on Bali, but this Pandawa Beach only opened its ‘doors’ a couple of years ago. Remember to take care of the beach; ‘take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints’!
11. Visit the Mother Temple Besakih, Gunung Agung.
This mother temple is the most important temple to the Balinese and the temple is located on the foot of the Agung volcano. Looking between the two gates will give you an impeccable view on the Agung.
12. Watch the dolphins in Lovina.
Depart early in the morning to watch the dolphins catching waves with the many (unfortunately!) tourist boats. There’s a discussion whether this ritual would damage the dolphins or whether it brings them fun, but for some reason they come back every morning. A unique experience anyway!
13. Dance the cultural Barong dance in Ubud.
The traditional dance in Ubud is the Barong Dance. Visit one of the many shows to experience this unique piece of Balinese culture.
14. Lay on the beach on the perfect Gili Islands.
Didn’t feel like you had enough relaxation on Bali yet? Visit the three Gili islands next to Lombok: Gili Air, Gili Meno, and Gili Trawangan. The first two are the perfect honeymoon and family destination, the third is the backpacker and party island. It’s up to you!
15. Party in Kuta!
The Skygarden is known to be one of the most famous clubs in Kuta. With several party floors and a rooftop bar you can always find a setting you like!
